Paper on Skin™ is a bienniIal competition celebrating paper-crafting hosted in Tasmania, Australia. Artists create wearable garments from paper, showcased in a gala parade.
For his entry into this years "Paper on Skin" competition, Darryl has innovated a series of flexible fabric-like surfaces that move with the body by focusing on the unique properties of folded paper. Utilizing the kirigami technique, which combines pleated origami principles with additional cuts, he has created modular building blocks that can be gathered and stitched, making them ideal for fashion applications.
